Pat Duffy Hutcheon

We regret to announce the death of Pat Duffy Hutcheon, on Thursday February 4, 2010 at the St. James Hospice in Vancouver. Pat was Humanist of the Year for HAC, and a prolific author. Some links to her works, including "Road to Reason" on her website, Pat Duffy Hutcheon

Michael Virard: I had the opportunity to talk to her on the phone since she had accepted that we translate her piece "Modern Humanism, a Definition" into French. We included it into the first book ever published by our association, "Les couleurs de l'humanisme" She was thrilled that her paper of 1995 was still of use. It is certainly the paper that I reference most often when asked "What is humanism" (truly). It is also the paper we used mostly as a base for a Humanism slide show presentation and, of course, it is permanently on our web site.
